A.M.I is a SINGER/SONGWRITER with a R&B/pop sound that has a simple message that reaches out to everybody. With roots in Gambia and Sweden she started her career in the late 90's. Attending two "recording artist-schools" and also performing at different clubs and venues, she advanced as an artist at an early age, together with her sidekick Elsa, they competed in numerous of talent-show's and mainly got placed in the first few positions. This is also how they got called a one of the few "all female" rap-groups, specially when two other female's joined and they all formed "MIXED SKILLZ". After high school the group decided to go their own ways but A.M.I, kept going strong.she made several collaborations with other artists and producers as well as getting her songs recorded and put on mix-tapes and putting together her own CD "Perfection aint Flawless".

In 2005, when she wasn't even 20 years old yet she packed her bag, and left Sweden for Los Angeles, where she came to attend Musicians Institute. Working with other artists in the making as well as established musicians from another country made her stronger as a singer, songwriter and as a person.
