Formed in a dark, damp basement in IOWA; only, an odd mix of metal/classical/gothic strangeness could describe the diverse music of ABYSIS. We don't exactly know what happened next but the music that echoed on the walls of the basement found it's way out into the twilight of the real world. The first set of songs found its way on a cassette tape in '82 and we called it "Into the Void". In 1983, "Now We're Coming Out Again" began our departure out of the tape void and into CD's with some kind of "Intelligence". In '84 our fans or "Culties" started up in the college crowds and finally we decided to end it all in '85 with "the Final Jam". But it would not stop, so on with "Metal Bull" in '86 and "In Between Stuff" in '87-'89, and our masterpiece "TDON-The Dark of Night" in '90. After a long wait we were back in the basement studio in 2002. By November 2003 the release of the "Dog Album" marked a new direction for ABYSIS. Fast forward to 2006 and the next album LoXe is now completed. Hear the song, "Unforgiven"
