A Lyrical Stylist, and Vocalist, Amanyia began writing about world situations, and Lyrically 1987, She has assisted several Hometown Entertaining Artist on different ventures, as a background vocalist, such as DC 10, Darrell Campbell featuring her group the Lamistique Singers, and making her transition to Spoken Word/Poetry in the fall of 2007, working with veteran musician Brett Jolly, and co-writing for Singer Songwriter, A-Kube. She focuses on love, life and reality.

Having a rich, sultry voice, she uses classy and captivating words, the creativity shows through her SPOKEN WORDS. Her style and flow, can seduce the imagination, while using her words as motivation.

Spoken word is a form of art that is SPOKEN, and is self expressional, with enlightening messages, and may not be understood by many.
I have been ask on several occasions about, what is Spoken Word.
Actually, spoken word has been around for some time, as the language we speak has. It is a form of poetry. It has been most popular on the East Coast, and in coffee shops. It is the clicking of the fingers that has been associated with the art, making us realize that we have heard it before. Spoken Word also, has been a base for the art of Rap Music, which is another form of lifes self expressions. If you can understand any form of Music that has a message, then embraced SPOKEN WORD.
