BETA Records - Your music matters!

I have been very busy today - John (my dad) - he will be called John from this point on - is due back in the UK and I have the mis-fortune of having to tell him that he is dis-owned. I have put up with his ways for years - he has slowly become a manipulative self centred idiot and he has upset my family one too many times. Time to show my resolve.

The reason I suppose this is relevant is because I got a song out of it. Not a good one but all the same - I will post it when it has matured some it's called "What?"

I have been slogging away writing new songs. I have been working out different ways to compose - At times I have sat at a keyboard or guitar and written - some stuff comes hard other songs come easy but what I am experimenting with is writing songs that develop purely from the beat. The rhythm dictates what the song becomes - I have no pre-determined lyric or style although it will probably become more retro when I lay the guitars down but I am having moderate success - my beats have been weak in the past so I thought this might help me analyse what I am doing - lets hope I learn something from it.
