BETA Records is the first music ecosystem that connects fans with artists in the virtual & real world through its unique revenue sharing platform designed to immerse the user and filter content to discover new music and the stars of tomorrow. BETA is not only a website, but also a recording studio, a music publishing & licensing company, and a TV show.
Tribes
The tribal system is unique to BETA and a fun way for people with similar music tastes to communicate with one another and discover new music. A tribe is based on a single genre and uses various ways to surface music to its members. Within each tribe, members gain & lose reputation symbols based on how active they are within each tribe. The member with the highest reputation becomes the leader and should be looked at as a tastemaker.
Music
The music found on BETA is from artists in all genres from around the world. The website serves as platform & toolset for artists to market themselves. Artists have full control over their music, including pricing. Based on the popularity of an artist within the community, BETA may choose to offer a record deal to them. Fans have a perfect venue to discover great talent, make friends, and recommend their favorite music to each other.
Street Team
All members of the site are automatically a part of the BETA Street Team. For every artist you get to sign up, you'll earn $1.50 in your BETA.bank. The artist must enter your display name in the "Street Team Code" field of the artist sign up form. Go to the "Street Team" section of "myBETA" to check your results and to get a unique link to post, making it easier for you to get credit.
BETA Records TV
BETA Records TV is a weekly 30-minute music centric show, draped in an educational & instructional wrapper. It follows a magazine format with segments ranging from major & indie artist interviews, tutorials and how-to's, producer & music executive tips, Internet heroes, The Vault (legendary artists), and music as it pertains to fashion and pop culture.
BETA Studio
BETA Records offers a high-tech multimedia recording facility, including a high-end recording studio, a video production room with green screen, interview / DJ performance room and production areas for "webisodes" using 14 mounted and 2 roaming cameras. The studio has been custom designed to provide an acoustically perfect recording environment and an accurate sound representation for producers & engineers.
