Breathing Forever formed in late December of 2005 with the original 4 members; John, Joey, Chris, and Johnny. The first couple months, the band played mostly covers and a couple of their own songs, not knowing exactly which route to take with their music. In February of 2006, the band recruited their keyboard player Jordan and started writing more music. The music turned out to be heavy sounding which led the band to decide to play more metal type of music. After deciding which music style to follow, the band decided to drop their tuning to C to get the heavier sound they needed. Breathing Forever has a music flavor similar to that of Underoath (pre -They're Only Chasing Safety) and has recieved quite a few comments relating the two bands.


The band has proved to be popular with a wide variety of crowds that range from pop-rock to death metal, which gives the band a lot of options when choosing what venues to play and what bands to play with. Fast forward to late July/early August, Breathing Forever finished their first EP entitled "Paraphenalia". With nothing in their way, Breathing Forever is moving forward and striving to leave a dent in the music scene that people will always remember.
