  The story of Brett Gleason has just begun. At the age of 24, he is putting the finishing touches on a fully realized demo showcasing his complex songwriting and unique production skills.
  
  Brett got involved with music early. After a childhood accident left him with a severe speech impediment, his hours were filled with mostly solitary activities, including piano lessons and gymnastics classes. After a brief competitive career including the title of New York State Champion, Brett quit serious gymnastic training and pursued solitary songwriting on the guitar, aided by jazz guitar lessons. It was also around the same time he had the good fortune of becoming a part time student at the Nassau Boces Cultural Arts Center where he seriously studied fiction writing and musical composition, leaving his suburban high school far behind. Inspired by being surrounded by artists, he took the train further west and studied at the New School University, eventually finishing his degree in fiction but secretly recording a demo he made his priority the day he handed in his senior project, struck the first note.
  
  Now living in the West Village, Brett is teaching gymnastics to children in Soho while hoarding his hopes in his demo, the one in which he plays every instrument; records every sound, mixes every track: First four songs then five now almost six. Brett will be 25 on September 10th and hopes to complete his demo/press package/website etc. by the new year. This will surely change his life forever.
