Brian Bethke has been playing since the age of 15, showcasing his songwriting ability in clubs and at festivals, at bars and in coffee houses. Since early high school he has played weekends for extra cash and to scratch musical itch.

In 2005 Brian suddenly came down with chronic pain, migraines and the many other symptoms of what was later diagnosed as fibromyalgia. With no job and lost hope, Brian became a full-time stay at home dad while touring Midwest coffee houses and bars on weekends and many weeknights as well. While playing almost constantly, as well as delivering his latest child himself, it%u2019s safe to say Brian%u2019s been busy.

Brian used his music as a way to work through the hopelessness and to adjust to a life living with chronic pain. A growing base of fans has related to both the despair and hope that soaks through every note Brian sings.

By 2007 the Brian Bethke Band landed airplay and a spot on Maverick Media%u2019s 99.9 the Carp "LOUD AND LOCAL TOUR" followed up by two tracks release on the "Loud and Local: Rock of the Northwoods" CD. This came as a big surprise to many because Brian's folksy style differs from the station%u2019s hard rock format.

May of 2008 The Brian Bethke Band released "The Glass Album" with his trusty Empathy Records label. This release began to push Brian out of the local Eau Claire music scene in to a much more global market; Brian has sold CDs and MP3s worldwide on cdbaby.com, Apple iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster, eMusic and Best Buy.

As 2009 approaches, Brian plans to release the "Auburdeen" EP and head out on what he has been calling the "Southern folk tour" in March 2009, and following up with a full album in May.
