I am a 34 year old songwriter and composer from Ft Worth Tx, most known for the way I play the bass. I come from a musical family, my mother Kathleen Stripling is an accomplished musician and voice teacher. My brother Ted (aka DJ Pixxel)is a great musician played with STEPLIGHT, BROTHER BOYD, and many othe projects. My uncle Kelly is like a scientist in the music world, and gave me my first guitar. I played in my first band when I was 17 in Bahrain, called THE HEMLOCK SOCIETY. I studied Jazz at Weatherford College under Tom Burchill before going to the Univercity of North Texas. In 1999 I moved to Boston, Ma and put a project together called Steplight, and got into the Berklee School of Music scene. I have traveled and played music all over the world. Music has been my passport to friendships everywhere. I have a broad background of musical history and played in many different venues . I also coordinate the production of CDs, creation of artwork, printing, radio and media relations, website creation, coordinating with venues and booking agent, musical group management, coordinating rehearsal time/space, creating tour schedules and related touring responsibilities, and the production of 4 commercial studio CDs. I am also a proud member of ASCAP.

direction for NEW METROPOLIS was to pay tribute to the cult classic
film Metropolis, directed by Fritz Lang; creating a visual metaphor
where an iconic silent film interacts with this unique electronic
record with no lyrics. This combination leaves a vast amount of room
for the audience to experience their own unique journey each time they
listen to the record.
