“Life’s too short for compromises" is one of the most often used expressions by Cassandra Sterling. Therefore one shouldn’t be at all surprised that she likes to combine music styles without any rules. Besides tight Hip Hop/R’n’B grooves, she also loves rough guitars, and a lot of electronic sounds. She studied singing at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich. She went on to study the guitar, acting, as well as ballet, jazz, hip hop and modern at the world-renowned Iwanson School for Dance as well the Edge and the Millenium Dance Center in LA. Cassandra produced 3 songs and is currently working on new ones with Detroit-based producer Jimmy Ward. “What U Want”, “How Many Timez?”, co-produced with Tom Curtis (Nelly&St.Lunatics), and “Dragonfly” did already score high in online charts. Cassandra believes very strongly in the message of awareness, both of self and one’s surroundings, that she is bringing to the youth through her song lyrics, noting that most pop icons take their role and position far too casually. The International Library of Poetry has selected one of Cassandra’s poems, titled “Love or War?” for their 2003 anthology, “Eternal Portraits” and for the book “The Best Poets of 2003 and 2004”. Her poem “I Died” was selected to be published by Noble House in the UK in the collection “Colors of the Heart”.
