Lenae aka Cataclysmic Sounds, is a native of the "Wind City"/"Chi-Town". She began her long and prestigious musical career at the age of six studying piano and later,at age 11, added the cello to her arsenal studying at the Merit School of Music in Chicago where she had the rare opportunity to perform in a master class with cellist Yo-Yo Ma. As if performance was not enough, she added music composition to the list. Her musical versatility seems limitless. Though classically trained in piano and cello, Lenae has performed with several R&B, pop, rock, and hip-hop acts in Chicago and New York. She has worked with such diverse musical personalities as: Jeremy James, Maya Azucena, Stori James, Abby Dobson, Mike Viola and the Candy Butchers, Imani Uzuri, Tamar Kali, her own band Cetacea (www.cetaceamusic.com), The Majnun Band, Stereobus and many more. When not performing, you can find Lenae in the lab composing music for just about anything.
