The, D-Girlz, Detroit's new hip-hop sensation, are definitely bringing Motown back to the Motor City! The duo, made of partners Nish Byrd and Passion, made an explosive entrance into the hip-hop scene in the fall of 2005 with their first album "Gutta Girlz". The self produced album featured the single, "Drunk in Da Club", which was a hit a local parties and dance clubs. Shortly after the album was released, they were featured on a soundtrack for the movie "Life Goes On", featuring Detroit-native Obie Trice.
Under their own label D. Productions, they have produced and released for promotion "Raw & Uncut Mixtape Vol.1", (December 2006), and "Raw & Uncut Mixtape Vol.2: Mixtape Mania" (August 2007). Mixtape Mania includes the singles "Trap or Die", "One More Time", and "Get Loose" produced by the D-Girlz, and production from "Super Producer" Bart J.
The D-Girlz are currently doing nationwide promotion for their Sophomore Album, due Spring 2008, with the radio hit-single "The Most" produced by Needlez.
