The roots of Dead Loc't go all the way back to 2002, but the band actually formed in April of 2005 when Brandon Schmidt (drummer) finalized the line-up. Roman James (vocalist), Kyle Pfeiffer (guitars), and Todd May (bass) had been writing songs for an album they wanted to record. Dead Loc't plays a very unique style of hard rock that is different then whats happening in the current rock scene. Influnces in the band range from Disturbed, Shinedown, Godsmack, Slipknot, Linkin Park and Motley Crue, mix it all together and then put Dead Loc't in it, and there's the sound.

Dead Loc't played their first public show on May 28, 2005 in Spearfish, SD. The band has played various shows in South Dakota through the last year.

Dead Loc't will be releasing their debut album (witch is self-titled) on May 23, 2006. The album is an album thats good from start to end. Being recorded at C & J Studios in early to mid 2006. Dead Loc't is currently finishing up the songs, 9 of witch are already done and demoed.

After the albums release (5.23.06) Dead Loc't will have bigger plans, you guys keep your eye out for Dead Loc't in the near future. And look out, cause Dead Loc't will come to a town near you!
