With the knowledge and passion she believes will help her to conquer the music world by storm, Dia Leone greets every new day in song. It’s been said that as a child her first words were sung not spoken. “I wake up every morning and before I can even speak, I start singing! I’m still in bed with my eyes closed but you'll hear me singing....I guess I’m scared I’ll wake up and won’t be able to sing. I sometimes even sing myself to sleep! In this world music is all that really keeps me sane!”. Simply looking at this dedicated artist will lead you to believe she’s already someone famous. Her looks alone are unlikely to leave your memory.
Dia is well known for her powerfully structured songwriting and her random surprises of personally created tracks. With a love for jazz and soul greats such as: Louie Armstrong, Nina Simone, Marvin Gaye, Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis, and Anita Baker to name a few, she in turn honors their classic styles in her harmonious deliveries. Known also for ghost-writing many lyrics for underground hip-hop artists from East to West coast, it is not the genre that captures her soul. However, surprises seem to be what keep this artist creating her music and when those 16 bars are delivered by the one and only it shouldn`t be a shock.
Having released a solo debut promotional album a fan base is already growing internationally. In production currently is her second album. A highly talented and driven 'artist' Dia Leone is also a published photographer and writer.
