I live music. I love music. Music is my passion, and definitely the language of my soul. “Music” was my first word. My name is Dona Lia and I am ecstatic over music! I sing and write all kinds of music;

I sing and write about life, death, and everything in between. I sing and write love songs, party songs, heartache songs, teaching songs, songs for men, women, duos, groups, children, and songs for God. I have been singing and writing songs since age 8, performing since age 12, and recording since age 14. I have written over 100 songs.”

Based out of Los Angeles, Dona Lia has worked with a variety of producers including Damon Elliott (Destiny’s Child, Eminem, Mya), Duane Ramos (LL Cool J, Busta Rhymes, Jay-Z), and Mike Mystique (K-Ci & JoJo). With both television and movie soundtrack credits to her name, she writes, sings and raps every song which is represented in the music section of this website.

She is a songwriter/artist who not only has a passion for the art and craft of music but also understands the commercial and industrial aspect of the commodity that is contemporary music. “ I believe a delicate and maintained balance of the two dynamics is a necessary component of lasting success in this field.”
