Downfall started with guitarist, Deon Slabbert, bassist, Jaco Liebenberg, drummer, Jacques du Toit and later vocalist, Warren Doering. Halfway through 2005 they were joined by guitarist, André Burger.

Hailing from the city of Cape Town, this six-piece rock group does not focus their music on "love lost" but on the reality of the world outside with most of their songs focusing on specific events and shared personal experiences. They spend their time writing and practicing material at Jaco’s work area, Lohr’s coachworks workshop deep inside Bellville Industrial.

They are a committed, hard working group of individuals, each serving a role as a serious musician within the band. The most important aspect of Downfall though is the relationship between the members. Even though music comes first they realize that great music evolves out of great friendship with each other.

To date, Downfall has been entertaining the club scene from Mercury Live and Lounge to Dockside Super club, the Whammy Bar to Gandalf’s and many more.

Their shared interest in this fast growing genre is what brought them all together in the beginning…In the end they are Downfall.
