Guitarist and vocalist Emilien had released his solo debut Reves
("dreams"), spanning the bridge from the Sega of his native Mauritius to
classic pop, influenced by forefathers such as the Beatles and Simon and
Garfunkle. Emilen has written ten original tracks which he delivers in
English, French, and Mauritian Creole with a pure tenor voice. Emilien,
who has sang and played guitar since his childhood in Port Louis, is
accompanied on bass, contrabass, sax, clavier, violin, and sitar. The
variety of instruments creates pop/folk/world hybrid that reflects his
travels and residence in no less than five countries.
