Ted Sylvester Hastings jr Mccubbin is one of the new %u201CHigh Priest of Reggae Music.%u201D From the age of three, music has reverberated through his small frame and hypnotized the souls of all those who listened to his music.
Born in Montego Bay Jamaica on May 27 1984, the young man with the voice of a canary, snuck out of his bedroom window late at night to visit local dancehalls and stage shows. Every year he also visited the annual Reggae Sumfest in his community where he saw the great Reggae icons performing. Icons such as Beres Hammond, Marcia Griffith, Culture, Dennis Brown Luciano, Tony Rebel, Julian Marley, Queen Ifrica and many more. by the age of eleven, he made the decision To become a reggae star and an icon was now his dream and his sole mission. Initially, using the name %u201CTed Sylvester Hastings he began his musical onslaught on the public. He soon became the talk of his town and was well on his way towards success. His voice started to leave an indelible impression in the streets, and at the age of ten, he moved to St Elizabth where he met Luciano and Jah Mason. Sylvester was about to fulfill his dream when he had to move once again only this time it was to the USA to his new home in New Jersey. Soon, Sylvester changed his name an FRASSDON was born to the world( FRASS primarily because of the vast amount of herbs he smoked a daily custom of his Rastafarian religion- the DON part was obvious, the SingJay looked young and healthy and was %u201Cwell preserved,%u201D as in %u201CWELL Blessed,%u201D using herb for medicinal purposes). It was at this time that Frassdon became enlightened spiritually and his belief in living naturally became even more heightened.
After meeting Jamaican music icon Tony Rebel, Rebel took FRASSDON under his wing, the artist then started performing an touring and visited several States with New Jersey stars such as Frasberg , Fisha Dread, Ragga & Mic G.Frassdon created several cranking melancholic melodies, which brought tears to the eyes of his listeners, without many of them even understanding the lyrics. FRASSDON%u2019S recognition an international success was about to take off.
FRASSDON recorded and released several records. Two of the songs on his upcoming album %u2018 Lost Dem Mind%u2019 and %u2018The Offical%u2019 were produced by Studio Yard. %u2018Mind Made Up%u2019 another one of his hit songs was produced by Studio Vibes Ent. It is a project that has been lyrically compared to Steve Marley%u2019s.
FRASSDON gives thanks for life while spreading love through his music. He believes his Mission was Jah%u2019s way of teaching him humility, kindness, forgiveness and love for his fellow human. Consequently, this has lead him to forgive all those who have done him wrong, and all those who have judged him unjustly and unfair. After spending Six years in The U.S.A. FRASSDON is now ready to spread the love globally to promote peace and healing to all his fans an the new ones he%u2019s about to make.
