FREEANA is a Cambridge, MA based vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, composer and improviser whose music comes from a very deep, passionate, soulful place. Her music has been described as "uplifting", "eloquent", "unique" and "healing" to many audiences.

Freeana is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music where she majored in viola performance and minored in saxophone. Freeana was a member of the Rochester Philharmonic while still a student and also toured with them and played at various venues including Carnegie Hall.

After graduation, she wanted to explore the music inside of her. In support of this she committed much time to writing and improvising freely for many years. The instruments she was drawn to were the recorder, voice and dumbek. Freeana possesses a prodigious talent on her alto recorder, every note and phrase singing, a continuation of the magical, lilting voice she possesses. Her music is truly very inspiring to hear.
