Fresko has just released his first digital single on imusiclabel.com. “Charcoal Eyes”, the unravelling cyber-space ballad, is the perfect way to introduce Fresko and his mix of electronica, pop and r&b to a broader audience.

Born and raised in Poland, after finishing university with a teaching degree in English he moved abroad to continue education. Having spent a few months in Amsterdam, Fresko settled 5 years ago in Glasgow where he’s been based ever since.

Fresko’s sound is the inevitable outcome of his influences. His dad used to be a DJ and his pregnant mother would often go to clubs he was playing at and sit by the speakers. As a child he would listen to his father's tapes: Tina Turner, Shocking Blue, Rose Royce, etc. And, growing up in the 80s, Fresko was exposed to the kind of pop one should be only ashamed of. In 1990s he became fascinated with neo-soul, trip-hop and electronica. This variety of musical influences mixed with Fresko's distinctive voice and his pop sensibilities contribute to his unique sound.
