The band, originally named "N.O.S.", is formed in 2003, when James Dyer joins Javier Alfaro and Jose Luis de la Riva.

With this name, they start composing their first punk/metal songs, which where recorded in their first demo "Version 0.0"

In 2004, with 5 new songs, they decide to expand their music genre to Hard Rock. By mid 2005 they had composed 10 new songs.

By the end of 2005 they change their name to "GEN", when they decide to focus completely to Hard Rock.

In January 2006 they start recording their first album "Génesis" .

That summer Jose Luis leaves the band.

By October the album is finished, as well as the official website: www.gen-music.com.

In February 2007. after a long time searching, Richard enters GEN as the band's new bass player.
