GMC is a duo of hip hop artists from manchester. With the majority of contribution coming from founder Matt Robinson. During a poetry reading and open mic from Def Poetry Jam featured poet "Lemon" Robinson AKA Young Ro recited a poem dealing with the death of his father that was met with great enthusiasm by listeners and Lemon. After a conversation with Lemon inspired him to start writing more heavily poems turned to hip hop songs. A few thousand dollars worth of recording equipment later Ro began pumping out beats and began working with other artists in the 603 and booking shows, a few skid bids in jail and strict probation set back some show oppurtunities and previous release dates but with GMC co founder Jake Davidson getting out of jail in november and RO wrappin up his legal troubles around the same time GMC is set to take over with the release of there first mixtape entitled At All Cost Vol. 1 for the second half of 2007.
