  BIO Gregg Danton Singer- songwriter- multi-instrumentalist The early influence of bands from the Blues Invasion and Classic 70's rock periods not only provided the inspiration for young would be Vancouver musicians like Gregg, but the desire to emulate those sounds and the sounds from the Southern U.S. that the British drew from. Self-taught from those early teen years Gregg found it hard to settle on a single instrument and changed from one to another as limits set in. Starting with flute and harmonica, and some mandolin, then sax -and as the songwriting emerged guitar and bass. A first chance offer to sit in with the Minglewood Band provided that needed nudge to take on music seriously. The endless years of playing the cover band circuit followed and he was found frequently faking it on keys to survive. While managing to fallback on his arsenal of instruments to keep playing he was also acquiring the skills needed to make the break from his sideman role. Highlights of those years include opening slots for artists like Long John Baldry, Harlequin, Jesse Colin Young (founder of 60’s supergroup Youngbloods) and breaks with Canadian artists, Goddo, Idyll Eyes, Frank Soda, Jim Foster and more.
