Most of the songs reflect an introspective and ...it must be said...rather jaded view of life and relationships. I try to avoid cliched lyrics, predictable melody and obvious song structure.
I often play guitar with a hybrid "pick and slap" style, influenced by several great players including Dick Gaughan, Martin Simpson and Joni Mitchell. Quite happy to have a good old strum too, though!
