Heavy P (born Jerrod Place) was born & raised in Kansas. From a young age music played a major role in his life. With no real direction in sight, he decided music would be his career path, thus forming the rap name "Tha Rhyme Masta" where he began writing and recording over beats made by then up-and-coming Dmp Productions, he quickly formed a group which consisted of P, Baby Clip, and DMP, they called themselves The Unknown Soldiers. While the Soldiers broke up after only a 2 year run, P continued on his way, becoming a solo artist, and his name changed to Heavy P. It wasn't long until he met Robert "Dewey" Walls III, Owner & Founder of InZpired MindZ Entertainment. IME is now one of the premier record labels to explode out of the midwest scene, with acts such as Chi-City, Ring, Konc3pt, S.O.S., & J-Redd. Heavy P is currently the Vice PreZident of IME, and is working on the InZpired MindZ Ent. Presents...Midwest InVasion Vol.1 Mixtape(COMING SOON) as well as Wyte NoiZe, AND his first official I.M.E. release. Be sure to stay updated.
