JAMES IVENS THE ARTIST

James Ivens is an original singer songwriter from Adelaide, South Australia. Over the past few years he has played with several bands and performed solo at various venues around Adelaide. James ability and talent for song writing started at a very early age. His live performances present a unique style, feel and passion for his music, which he openly shares with his audience.

James has spent the last year or so compiling an original set of songs, which ultimately resulted in the release of his debut EP titled “Sometimes”. “Sometimes” was released in June 2002. Inspired by the airplay and attention “Sometimes” received on local community radio stations he began a new project in August of 2002, which saw the completion of his new EP titled “turn your head around” in late January 2003.

James music has been influenced by the sounds of the sixties and seventies, through to the sounds of more recent times including Cold Play, Badly Drawn Boy, David Bridie and his musician friends in Adelaide.

The lyrics to James songs are reflective of his life experiences.
The music is his gift.
