Jenilee’s story begins at age 6, with her rendition of the national anthem leading to a standing ovation which would prove to be one of the most pivotal points of her music career. At 13 she became a part of a distinguished local hip hop and R&B group known as “Melodic”. She spent the next 4 years honing her craft in hit songwriting, composing, arranging music and vocals, which led to co-producing the majority of the group’s album. On the stage, Jenilee proves to be a shining star sharing the spotlight with the well-known R&B group, Toni Tony Tone, and hip hop artists Digital Underground to name a few.
Jenilee’s music brings with it an old soul to the likes of legendary Etta James and a direct link to today’s hip hop and R&B fusion similar to the new school sound of Alicia Keys. Her soulful voice and compelling stage presence comes as an added bonus to her rare talent and exotic look.
