Jennifer Thomas began playing both the piano and violin at age of 5 under the guidance of her mother. Having studied classical piano studies in college, she actively competed and performed in recitals. She was considered by her professor as one of the top pianists in the school.

After college, Jennifer continued to stay involved with Classical music by playing the violin with various local symphonies. She placed 2nd in the BYU-I 1998 Concerto Competition, and performed for three years with the Salt Lake City Historical Temple Square Concert Series.

In 2002, Jennifer competed in the Murray Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition and was selected to solo with the Murray Symphony in Salt Lake City. She has also worked directly for the Seattle Symphony, performing at Soundbridge, Seattle Symphony's Music Discovery Center.
