  I'm Jon Saint. I make music. I played the game early on and wrote songs that made the labels excited. I wanted success more than truth. When the industry was done with me I landed in the middle of the Nirvana uprising. I formed a band. The Universal Poet Society. Rock and rap. Before Limp Bizkit. Before Rage. But being early is just as bad as being late. So I gigged and grew my hair long and wore leather pants and pretended to be a rockstar. And I went through managers and producers and attorneys. There was no truth. I gave up and got sane and got Prozac and stopped chasing and started creating. Music that was true. A little bit of everything that I had swallowed over the years: Bowie and Morrison. KRS One and Rakim. The Beatles and Dylan. I stopped making urban music and made sub/urban music. I found out that being a kid from the right side of the tracks doesn't mean I don't have something to say. I was a hip hop gangster when hip hop began. I was a alternative rocker when Kurt off'ed himself. I was spinning on stage at CBs and nodding my head at the Tunnel. I make music.
