Joy Sevillano was born and raised in Los Angeles. Ever since she was about three years old, she fell in love with music and singing. She memorized and sang to the “Lion King” and “Aladdin” soundtracks. She started out her singing career at the age of five in the children’s choir at her church, Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ). By the age of ten, she was appointed the “Choir Leader”. Aside from singing in the choir, she performed in various church sponsored talent contests and also school activities. Ever since the third grade, Joy has been in the school choir. Joy not only sings, but also plays both the violin and the viola. In middle school, the orchestra she was with known throughout Los Angeles. She played for Governor Grey Davis, opened L.A.’s Music week, and featured in Los Angeles’ classical music stations. Currently, Joy is attending the Los Angeles Talent Academy, in Hollywood. There she is working hard to fulfill her dreams to become a singer. Joy wishes one day she can be able to share with everyone around the world with her passion of music and be able to help open the door to other striving musicians.
