I have wonderful supporting friends and family who always encourage me to follow my dreams and continue improving my talents. Playing guitar has been my "forte" since I was 7 years old, which gives me eleven years of guitar experience. I like to say I was genetically inclined to play guitar considering everyone in my immediate family (my mother, father, and two older brothers) play guitar.

It all started when I started teething, according to my father. When I was a baby he discovered me teething on his Yes album, and from then on he knew I would be a music lover. When I was very young, about 5 years old, I would always venture into a closet we had under our staircase and get into it and look at my moms old guitar, I always imagined me playing it, this continued for a long time until I decided I really wanted to pick it up and see what it sounded like. One day, I picked it up and started teaching myself how to play guitar without telling anyone. My dad came down the stairs one day to the sound of me playing music and started teaching me more. I got my first guitar (bright red Squire) when I was 9, and over the years I have collected many other guitars. I started a band when I was in 7th grade called Saved By Dawn (www.myspace.com/savedbydawn). Saved By Dawn started out doing simple covers and eventually I started writing songs on my acoustic with lyrics and taking it into practice where we would put it together, we were together until we were sophomores in high school and played many local shows until our drummer moved away. Thats when I started playing by myself on my epiphone gibson acoustic. I am currently working on writing my own songs on my new Ovation acoustic/electric, and I also really enjoy learning songs by other artists (Iron and Wine, Death Cab for Cutie, Wilco, etc.). There is nothing better sounding than brand new bright shiny D'Addario strings on my acoustic guitar. I can't imagine me in the future without a guitar. Music is my passion and it will always be that way.
