New Mexican by birth, Kim Audette grew up in Alaska, where music was one of the few things that warmed the cold weather. After moving to the states to further her skills in the performing arts, Kim paid for her college and travels through street music, playing folk music on the west coast, Europe, Middle East and Asia.

Now back to her roots (5 generations) in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, Kim has a historical hot mineral bath establishment, plays at smoke-free events, and jams with the New Mexico Old Time Fiddlers. "My style is the result of integrating Tradition with New Age. I'm playing all the stringed instruments in these songs. Rick O'Neill accompanies me on the accordion." Together they are KnR Express. Warm weather is a daily occurance, and Kim can usually be found outdooors, either gardening, fishing, or playing fiddle, viola, guitar, and singing.
