BETA Records - Your music matters!

I was born and raised in the southern outskirts of Hamburg/Germany. First band formed in school by the age of 15. Joined several other bands after the split-up of the first one. I met the members of the band I´m playing in right now in university, and played a few gigs with them. We´re called Klippo and do very ambivalent music. I´m writing songs since I was fifteen and started recording them since I was 19. I record the at home on my computer with very limited possibilities. I worked out a method of catching the moment of writing. I record the song while I write it. Meaning e.g. that I record a guitar-overdub only once, mostly without having tried it before. So most of the things you can hear in my songs, are somehow improvised and can of course be very bad. I call that diletantism on purpose. Never the less, I am able to record a song as I want it. But its very much fun the way I mostly do it.
In the moment I study history at the university of hamburg and do a lot of theater in the off-university time. Of course I keep on practising with my band (myspace.com/klippoesk) and writing songs…
