The title of the band "MARS ATTACKS" is not accidental. In the beginning of 2002 I left behind all instrumental music and many other musical projects to create a new band, which will perform an absolutely new style: the mix of hard and aggressive music with melodic stuff. I wanted to play a mix of drive and acoustic guitars, cosmic keyboards and killing vocals. It must be a mix of different styles, it must be something unearthly. So the title "MARS ATTACKS" became a title which may describe a concept of the band's style.

A meeting with vocalist Sergey Oganoff and with lyrics-writer Evgeny Gradov, then addition of keyboard-player Sergey Aleshin and bassist Slava Voronov to lineup - it all made the wanted music style come true. We begun to write the songs which we wanted.

During the last year, the group’s members have changed. The rapper Richard Namuene from Cameroon was invited to lead the vocal. He has been living in many different countries in Europe in United States, singing with different popular groups. With his musical spirit and experience, Sergei Timofeev was invited to play the bas guitar. The jazz man Sergei Shavlikov and soloist guitarist Genaddi Barulin, remains the same.

We are working now on a new album titled “Rock Me With The Snowboard”. This music will be dynamical and extreme. .
