Relapse has been performing his songs on stages throughout southern California for approximately seven years. Lyrics range from graphic to comical. Songs illustrate the struggle of stumbling reluctantly in to adulthood following an eventful adolescence. Three of Relapse’s adolescent years were spent in mental health facilities and drug & alcohol rehabilitation centers. Most of Relapse’s songs poke fun at and glorify an adolescence that was highlighted by drug/sex addiction, rehab, and relapse. The other three years of his adolescence were spent as a front man for a heavy metal/thrash band in Los Angeles. It took Relapse four and a half years to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in English from an accredited University in Philadelphia. After returning to the west coast, Relapse began recording and performing tracks with lifetime friend Troy DeSimone (Freestyle Productions). In the last seven years, Relapse has showcased his talent at venues in San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. Relapse has collaborated with the likes of Chris Gentry (Woodfella Records), Young Livio, and DJ Flict (Throwback Records). Relapse has recently signed on with manager Gavin Haughey (Notorious Enterprizes). Haughey’s management team has utilized the production expertise of DJ Flict to produce the appropriately titled E.P. ‘the real o.c.’: set for release in November of 2006. Haughey’s undeniable presence in the night club industry across the greater United States, along with, Notorious Management’s strategic guerilla marketing tactics will be sure to help bring Relapse’ music within an earshot of the masses.
