It was at the age of 14 that Melody performed her first local talent show. She had sung two cover songs: “Stand by me” and “Can’t fight the moonlight” .She managed to earn herself a warm and rowdy applause. The feeling she got being onstage is one, at that moment, she knew she could not turn her back on. Despite her shyness, onstage was where Melody knew she belonged.

Growing up, Melody’s childhood always had music a part of it. Her father, playing the radio everyday on her way to school, exposed her to popular and rock music. Her mother had bought a collection of compact discs in which had one of Mariah Carey’s albums; one who captured Melody’s ear instantaneously. It was through music that Melody could feel her emotions surface; a passion that Melody slowly started to develop with time.



Winning first prize for a Laval singing contest attainted Melody a three-track demo, a website, a photo shoot, as well two paid gigs a at downtown shopping center. Melody has been part of a non-profit organization called “Harmonyworx”, helping youth expose their talent to the world, has perform for local talent shows, as well as collaborations.
