Born and raised on Chicago's South Side, Nitro has had the exposure to the underground house scene at the early age of 14. He found an atmosphere that would forever alter his life.
In the mid 80s Boo Williams, Buster, Lacey, and Nitro formed Club Armani Promotions of Chicago. This forum gave its members more creative expression and guidance over its venues, DJs, and clients. At about the same time, Nitro made a few visits to what he calls the "Mecca of Techno - Detroit." There he witnessed Jeff Mills and Derrick May, one of the infamous Belleview Brothers. After hearing "Strings Of Life" and other infectious tracks it became another influential point in Nitro's musical career. He would later come to play alongside Jeff Mills, Derrick May, Dave Clark, Marshall Jefferson, Gene Ferris and Sven Väth.

By possessing a deep background in Chicago House and Detroit Techno, Nitro headed for Germany to share in pursuit of a vision. While in Germany, Nitro's musical style had secured him a guest spot in Germany/s Love Parade where he played among talents such as Derrick May, Carl Cox, Miss Jaxx, Adam Beyer, Mike Dearborn and many others. Nitro's diversified style of funky disco, soulful house, acid techno, hard house, and jungle has led him to participate in the Sundance Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival and other fashion and film industry events showcasing his passionate DJ skills.
