Having played the Alto Saxophone since 5th Grade, I majored in Music at the University of Vermont with a minor in History. I have a Music Theory Background with experience in Composition, and Arranging. Other instruments I play include the guitar, mandolin, keyboard, tin whistle, recorder, and harmonica.

I remember growing up and always hearing my dad strumming his old guitar and singing funny songs to us. I began taking piano lessons with him and my brother, which at the time I hated, but looking back on it, that was the start to this journey. Staying up until 3:00 in the morning writing, playing, creating, and listening to music was how I spent most of my college career. I often found myself picking up different instruments and teaching them to myself. Always looking for the opportunity to turn heads with a ripping tin whistle solo, I strive to think outside the box and do something just a little different from the "norm".

Pearl Jam and Great Big Sea, two totally different bands in two very different genres of music, have probably been some of my biggest influences growing up. Coldplay, David Gray, Carbon Leaf, Nickel Creek, Switchfoot, Martin Sexton, Howie Day, Guster, Seven Nations, Led Zeppelin, Blue Oyster Cult, Counting Crows, Black Crows, Oasis, Eric Clapton, The Tragically Hip, Dave Matthews Band and many others have always found a home inside my CD Player as well. The list just goes on and on and on...
