Oceanbase is Joakim Daif, formerly known as Ultrawave, born on September 1, 1985 in Gothenburg, Sweden. At the age of 12 he discovered the exciting world of electronic music and in 2000, he heard the song "Feel the Beat" by Darude and that's when he knew that he wanted to produce music. He started off by learning to mix at home and then started using ACID Pro to learn all the basics of production and it was a good starting point for exploring his talents. As Joakim continued to grow and develop his skills, he decided to seek some advice from his uncle, who owns his own studio and is very knowledgeable in the music industry. It was him who introduced Joakim to Cubase and taught him everything he needed to get on his feet.

Joakim is currently unsigned and promotes his music on the internet and by word of mouth. He is an accomplished producer with chart topping tracks on ACIDplanet and all over the web.

His work has given him the opportunity to work with many talented vocalists as well as other artists and producers to and he continues to do so from his Oceanbase Studio. Joakim is currently working hard on various singles as well as producing along with guitarist Tobias Andersson as Digital Gravity.
