This is a story of four kids and their journey to rock stardom. Their names are Jared, Mike, Elliot, and Jake. Jared plays guitar and backup vocals, Mike plays guitar and lead sings, Elliot is the drummer, and Jake plays bass. It all started on a dark and cloudy winter night of 2003, in a little town named Hellertown, Pennsylvania. They started writing songs and practicing almost every day. Many people try to figure out what exactly the genre of music is that they play. It’s a mix between, pop-punk, power-pop, and a little bit of metal. They’re heavily influenced by the likes of; Thrice, Fallout Boy, Punchline, BigWig, and many others. They live for playing live. They put on such a powerful performance, full of dancing, screams and energy. Then came the shows, they played Crocodile Rock Café in Allentown, and other legions and social clubs around the area. Bands they’ve shared the stage with are The F*Ups, CherryFix, The Spacepimps, Fail Me Not, Ritter, Jasper, Split Fifty, Stimulis, Audio Recording Club, and many other local bands. In August of 2004, Overlook went in to record their first demo, Till the Last Beat…. It was recorded at Soundmine Studio in Strousburg, PA. Since then Till the Last Beat has been reviewed in the valley’s PulseWeekly.
