My Southernacoustafunk with a hip hop and r&b vibe are the result of my early influences in music from cousin James Merriman, Prince, Jayz, Al Greene, Outkast, and the Dave Matthews Band.

I was born in Columbia, South Carolina on May 17, 1978. I started my music career in sixth grade with chesterfield beginner band. During this time i played trumpet, tuba, baritone, and some self taught piano. I've always been a poetic soul with a lot to say. I've had the pleasure of working with several talented amatuer artist such as Shellz D(RIP), Supreme, DB, Gunn Stylez, Saxx, Mario, and Fatts to name a few. My production has mostly been done by E'Mech and myself.

I'm known by several different names including Pillz, Doughgrooves, Poetry and Tha Kid. That's my intro i hope you all enjoy the experience.
