Popasay was born in Nigeria west Africa, where he grew up in a christian home. At the age of 9 he started listening to Artists like, Yellowman,U-Roy,Tippa Irie, Tonto Irie,Peter Metro,Fela Kuti to name a few. At age 12 he started Dj'n' ,Toasting(Reggae Raping) and he performed for family and friends just for the love of it.In the early 90's he became one of the pioneers of the group "SYBILS" and later joind the "Geraldo-Pino's Extended Family Band" in 1994 and the band played all over the country and was well known nation wide.He has recorded with artist like Evi-Edna Ogoli,(The African Queen Of Reggae), Etiene-Tboy(Mr.Chop i Chop), Romantic Rolly to name a few. On April 16 2000, he had a motorcycle accident that almost took his life, but by God's special grace he came out of it with just a broken leg.He had the opportunity of going to the U.S.A for treatment and decided to make it his home. He is presently residing in Houston Texas. Since his arrival in the states, he has performed in a lot of concerts and presently, he's about to take his music to the next level.
