In October 2004, Rhyme Mind Theory quickly became San Antonio's premiere Hip-Hop ensemble captivating all walks of life. Beginning with Lennox Gonzalez, Aaron Jarvis, Robert Sierra and Chris Maddin. RMT played relentlessly developing a consistent fan-base. 1st appearing at Revolution Room in San Antonio TX. Broadening to other venues: Rebar, Limelight, Jack's Patio Bar, Bitter End, and Sam's Burger Joint. Jason Mckee on Percussion and Juan Guerra on trumpet eventually joined allowing RMT to evolve further. After a change of bass players, Joseph filled in. RMT's keyboardist Chris Maddin departed due to the demands of his other band, the talented 'Blowing Trees'. Though keyless Chris can still be seen playing with RMT. Since then, RMT has branched out to Graham Central Station and Fuse in Laredo, TX. Also Austin TX. venues Dirty Dog Saloon and The Parish. Other merits include opening for national acts such as Spoonfed Tribe and Lonestar Pornstar plus appearing on the soundtrack of 'Grey Ardent'. RMT also participated in The Emergenza World Wide Battle of the Bands placing 1st out of 60+ bands for the San Antonio City Finals. leading to the Regional Finals in Austin TX. where RMT placed 3rd out of 100+ bands. Influenced by The Roots, Hieroglyphics, Diggable Planets, De La Soul, The Beastie Boys, Blackstarr, The Doors, Radiohead, Modest Mouse, Ozomatli, and countless others RMT spans all genres of music essentially Hip-Hop which gives them a unique and frightening sound.
