roger grew up travling around the united states. ending up in massachusettes. he then went to new zealand on an art scholarship but a strange set of circumstances ended him up in northern australia where he lived and worked along side the aboriginies.learning their spiritual culture. soon his travels took him north to java where he was befriended by the local musician coalition and the preservation of traditional western java culture and music. he studied under the tutalage of jing la'o a japanies born artist.who's mother was from java.where he was relocated during the 2nd world war.
when jing passed away in 1995 roger again traveled north through india playing music with locals all the way to upper mongolia.
finally settling in kyzyl the capital of tuva for 4 years.
he returned to the united states in 2003 and now resides in massachusettes.
