Rosco Caine Bio
Will Sabo, Banner Thomas, Steve Wheeler, and Pete McDermott are Rosco Caine, a southern rock band from Jacksonville,Fl.
Will Sabo played most recently in the local J'ville band Thirteenth Stone. Making a decent name for themselves and quickly becoming one of the most popular, original unsigned bands in the area. In early(Jan) 2008, Thirteenth Stone disbanded, sending Will in a darker direction. Writing new material and revamping other originals, he began building towards what would be today's line-up. There were a couple of early incarnations of the band, in order to see how well the response would be to Will's swamp-rock project. The response was overwhelming, but as Will puts it, "I am as abrasive as 80 grit sandpaper and pretty hard to work with, at times. It's not from ego, which I get accused of. It's more about this project, to me than anyone else, it seems. So, finding the right guys, is like a trial and error thing. While I have worked with some great musicians and some great guys, I am into this for the long haul. Much love to everyone I have ever worked with, they may not all send love back, but I wouldn't trade the guys I am working with now for anything."
Banner Thomas had worked with Will when Will was in Thirteenth Stone and Banner was in another local band. Most known as the real bass player for the real Molly Hatchet, Banner has carved out a name for himself as a southern rock legend. Banner has been doing the circuit with various projects, but he approached Will one afternoon at a local Jacksonville music store. The two have been pretty inseparable since. Working with Will to make his music the best it can be, Banner has given Rosco Caine the solid, funky bottom that he needed from the bass position.
Sabo on Thomas: "Banner and I are on the same page...I think. He has changed my music, some, I think for the better. I am happy. He also is as much a part of this as I am, at this point. If we aren't rehearsing, we are recording. If we aren't recording, we're rehearsing...or talking about the old days. I love listening to the stories. Molly Hatchet was my favorite bands from this area. It sucks that Banner isn't involved in the current conception of Hatchet, but if you ask me Hatchet today isn't Hatchet. Nothing against Bobby or Phil, but seriously, Danny Joe Brown and the original line-up will never be replaced. It's good for me though, cause I get to work with one of my idols, not to mention one of the best southern rock bassists ever. Don't tell him I was blowing all this smoke up his ass!"

Steve Wheeler, most known for his work in the Danny Joe Brown Band, came in early '09. He and Banner have known each other and worked together before, alot. Banner and Steve were working together, gigging with another local band, when Banner told Steve about Will, and Steve showed some interest. He had met Will on a couple of occasions, but nothing more than in-between sets. Steve is really dedicated to his band, The Steve Wheeler Band, but he is also committed to Rosco.
Sabo on Steve: "Steve is an absolute guitar god. I am honored to have him. I like Steve as a person and respect him and admire him as a musician. I knew he had other irons in the fire, as does Banner, but that is fine. If I get a chance to work 12-15 shows a month, Steve'll be there. We are flexible and will work around each other's schedules. He is also going to work on the recording of our CD, so the music is guaranteed to kick ass. I just hope I can deliver vocally, half of what he will deliver with his guitar work. He is a special guy to have on board, and we will see how long he stays. If something better comes along, for anyone, I hope they take it. It's just up to me to keep it rolling for now. Steve rocks, man. I am just hoping to keep him so busy, that nothing better comes along.%u201D

Pete McDermott, is a friend and former band-mate, of Banner's. Banner and Pete were speaking about Pete's project, Killer Line-Up, when Banner told him about Rosco. Pete showed interest. The guys all got together for a couple of rehearsals, and the booking started. Pete has been playing in the local music scene almost as long as Banner .
Sabo on Pete: "Pete brings something to the drums, I just haven't figured out what yet...laughing...No, I am just kidding. Pete's solid. He's a great guy, we get along well. I'm as glad to have him as anyone else. I need musicians that see what I see. I need guys that believe in me as much as I believe in them. I think Pete is a believer, but you'd have to ask him. He is always the first one here and one of the last to leave, so I think we are on the same page. My goal is just to keep these guys playing as much as possible, get some quality work tracked for the CD, and keep ROSCO CAINE on as many marquis as possible.%u201D
