I was once a staff songwriter in Nashville, but did not like being told how to sound or what would sell. I wanted to do my music. I have been and audio engineer for over 20 years and have specialized in doing production audio for music specials on networks and cable TV. So if you have seen an award show like the CMAs you have heard my work.

After years of being told what to sound like I decided to do a record of the sound that I like. That would be the 1960s music of Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Johnny Cash, and so on. I also wrote songs that if the thought was complete after 2 minutes, I wouldn't keep repeating the ame phase over and over.

On the record I played all the tracks, drums, bass, guitars, keyboard. I had some friends come in to play a couple parts as well. I also engineered and produced it myself. Does that make me a control freak?
