Sir Nite was born in the city of Norfolk VA. He was raised in Park Place but later returned to his roots in the Norview area of the city. He attended Rosemont Junior High School, where he participated in the elite junior high school drum section. This sparked his passion for music and he knew that music would be his career path. He also attended Norview High School, where he became one of the top drummers in his class. At the age of seventeen, he was hired into his first professional band. He had the opportunity to play with some of the best local musicians this area had to offer. Bands such as; Shade-z, Hot ice, As one, Poetry In Motion, Gratitude, Right On, and The Main Ingredients all enjoyed the stage with Sir Nite. He has been a professional musician for over sixteen years.
