I was born in the St. James District of Winnipeg, Manitoba on December 7th, 1981. I grew up in the small town of Teulon, and was considered an outcast for most of my life. Growing up in a small town where farmers and hockey players reign supreme, I had to get into the "big city" every chance I got. Finally, at 15, I moved back into Winnipeg and attended Sturgeon Creek Collegiate. But as always, I bloomed late. After several failed attempts at the academic system, I decided to try and make a living with the only academic strength I had - poetry.
Skinny Vinny, aka R-e-D, started writing poetry at the age of 13. After a few hard times and even more hard knocks, he started writing more aggressive - and even hateful - poetry. After realizing what kind of negativity the early raps brought forth, you can now expect to see and hear a NEW Skinny Vinny.
This is where I stand today. Still many more rhymes to come. And for those of you who are wondering...R-E-D stands for Rhymes Easily Done.
