I was born and raised in the desert. the easternmost part of the Mojave. My entire formative years were spent within walking distance of route 66 and Santa Fe railroad tracks. I try to embody the dry dark humor of the melencholy and desolation that growing up in hot, dry austerity that is the deserts perfect solitude, yet juxtaposed with the pacific northwest and it's entirely alienness to me trying to use the tension and circular perfection of paradox to create music . I don't believe in mistakes when recording. I believe in unconcious signals that cause movement and chane the direction of a song. I never set out with a stictly structure arangemnt, just a skelenton of melodies and chord progressions on manuscript paper and go from there.I spend 75% of my time on the lyrics.
