Joe Black aka Splifferman, has been widely regarded as on of Trinidad and Tobago's underrated Hip Hop Mc's.

Born Ryan WIlliams to a middle income family in Southside (San Fernando) Trinidad, Hip Hop became a passion with influences from Furious 5, The Roots, Wu Tang, Biggie, Tupac, Run DMC, Snoop, Dre, The Lox 50 and so much more.

The Names: "Having a near death experience from being stabbed, and some other not ready to mention incidents, the name Joe Black was taken from the movie "Meet Joe Black", to remember that tomorrow is never promised so live for today". The name "Splifferman" is the love for the "good herb"," some call her Mary Jane commonly known as ganja I call her mine lol".

Part of the House of Music Entertainment Production Team in Trinidad and Tobago, he was around alot of Artistes, so inspiration struck and he started writing.

In 1999 He assembled a team of other very talented artists and formed the group Odd Squad. The music indusry being as it is in Trinidad and Tobago no one was interested in hearing "Local Mc's" the group faded but Joe's passion lingered. But the feeling of expression must come out! “Everyone has experiences, Dad died when i was 11, Mom was a workaholic trying to make ends meet, I was running the in the streets! I know about guns, drugs, wildin out, you know what every other hood cat knows". Changing his wild ways with the birth of his son in 2001, he wanted to make his mark on the world. Reggae Music was booming in Trinidad so he focused on the business aspect of House of Music Ent.

2005 After doing some drops for a local mixtape he started gaining some attention with a simplistic flow with a vocal difference. Sounds Gangsta, but simple, Catchy, Original, Is he from America or Trinidad is some of the statements his peers have said about him. He was asked to introduce himself on the track M.U.S.I.C. by the Mic Check crew. This gives him rave reviews as being one of Trinidad's most original artiste to date.

Now part of the group Black MOB and with the re-up of Odd Squad he is taking his music to the masses. "It's either you feel it or not, ya know!" The much anticipated first release "How we Ride" produced by Studio 53 and "Three Pounds/ Club Hustle by House of Music Entertainment, has been getting two thumbs up on the streets and clubs.
